What is MDF?
MDF is a wood-based panel product manufactured by pressing a fiber mat under heat and pressure after wood or other lignocellulosic raw materials are thermomechanically processed into fibers, dried to a specific moisture level, and combined with synthetic adhesives.
Where is MDF Used?
The uniform distribution and density of fibers throughout MDF allow not only both surfaces but also the edges of the board to be machined smoothly without cracking or creating gaps between material particles. Thanks to these properties, MDF can be successfully used in the production of table tops, door panels, chamfered edges, and profiled drawer fronts.
The surfaces of MDF boards can be covered with all types of laminates, resin-impregnated papers, foils, and wood veneers. MDF edges are extremely smooth and dense, allowing groove and tongue applications as well as all kinds of profiling without the need for solid wood edge strips.
Convenience, Stability, and Excellence
Another major advantage of MDF is its high bending strength, elasticity modulus, and excellent screw and nail holding performance.
Its ease of machining, exceptional stability, minimal dimensional movement, availability in standard sizes, sanded and calibrated surfaces on both sides, and the absence of defects such as knots, cracks, or splinters are among the key characteristics of Çamsan Ordu MDF.
Its uniform density throughout the panel, ready-to-use structure, and compatibility with all kinds of lacquer, paint, and varnish applications make it highly versatile. It can also be coated with materials such as wood veneer, PVC, laminate, and melamine decorative papers.
Additionally, its superior screw-holding performance on both surfaces and edges makes it a highly reliable material for furniture and interior applications.
Our profiling products are unmatched not only in general applications but also in cabinet door manufacturing solutions.
